Autumn release: The most important change is invisible!

New functionalities of this release include role definition for collaborators, unique IDs for entries, a flexible analytic panel and new statistical tests and graphical presentation options. But first: Say “Hello” to our new best friend - Confidential Computing.

Our autumn release is out, and this is a big one! Confidential computing is now fully implemented in Ledidi Core, meaning your data is more secure than ever. As a user of Ledidi Core, you will not notice this in any way, but the lifted level of data protection means you can rest assured that also identifiable sensitive personal data, such as health information, can be stored and processed at AWS (our American supplier of public cloud services) without any possibility for data being handed over to US authorities, ref the Schrems ruling. If you want to know more about this, read our fresh blogpost about what confidential computing is and what benefits it brings to you as a Ledidi user.

Rolling out Roles

Forget customising permissions for every project collaborator. Now you can define roles with preset permissions in your projects. A very useful feature in projects with many collaborators who should have different permissions depending on their…role in the project. This also makes it easy to update permissions based on statuses. Roles can be created as templates, meaning you can reuse and share Roles between different projects and other Ledidi users.

Admire your results

We can’t imagine anything more satisfying than admiring sound results and beautiful graphs and figures coming from scattered data… And to up the joy, we have now made it possible to look at several analyses at the same time, on the same screen. You can choose to display your analyses in a setup with one, two or three columns! Easily switch between views to get a full overview of your results. Delightful!

Unique entries need unique IDs

Unique patients, participants or objects in your project probably need a unique ID to enable you to identify them in a growing dataset. To ensure you never mix entries up, we’ve introduced a new data type for variables: Unique. Using this variable means you never have to worry about using the same ID on different entries; the system simply says “NO” if you try using the same ID twice. For this data type, there are also automated alternatives, where Ledidi Core will autogenerate unique IDs for you. Read more about how it works in the Ledidi User Guide.

Bring sunbursts into the dark season

Winter is coming, but in Ledidi Core the sun is always shining. The sunburst chart is a new alternative to visualise crosstabs in Ledidi Core, and it looks really nice regardless of the results ;). Data visualisation is a powerful tool to get the message through and make complicated concepts more understandable and easy to grasp. So we will keep those beautiful data visualisation options coming! Stay tuned until the next release.
