Confidential computing protects data in use and is now considered “state of the art” in GDPR terms. Combined with conventional encryption of data in transit and at rest, personal data is protected through the whole lifecycle. In the post Schrems II era this opens new possibilities for European organisations and businesses to use cloud services for critical infrastructures and for processing of sensitive personal data.

Confidential computing significantly improves the security and privacy of cloud computing by ensuring that data is inaccessible and encrypted while in use. Ledidi is now taking the necessary measures to employ confidential computing on all our workloads that involve sensitive data.

Oslo University Hospital and Ledidi recently agreed on a contract implying that PRJCTS can be used for all COVID-19 research the hospital is involved in. This means that PRJCTS will be used in nationwide clinical research on patients with the coronavirus.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security system that verifies a user’s identity by requiring multiple credentials. Rather than just asking for a username and password, Ledidi’s MFA requires additional credentials, such as a code from Google Authenticator app.
